A Tribute to Our Greatest Son of the South

General Robert E. Lee Painting

Signed and Numbered, Limited Edition Portrait of General Robert E. Lee

We have selected the giclée process to produce this limited edition Robert E. Lee portrait because it best captures the richness and beauty of an original work of art. This revolutionary new printing process is named from the French term "giclée " meaning "spray".

With the giclée process, precision nozzles spray up to a million microscopic droplets per second onto the leaf, creating  higher resolution than a traditional lithograph and a wider color range than a serigraph. This new process is so sophisticated, it is actually used by Agilent Technologies to create Micro-Titer plates, which are scientific research tools used to map the human genome.  The microscopic nozzles are used to spray precise sequences of DNA material onto small glass plates.  This amazing breakthrough in nanotechnology is now being used to create unparalleled artistic print.
