Charge of the Fifth Corps

This is a dramatic print from an original 1864 Harper's Weekly.  The print shows an infantry charge, and is captioned, "Grant's Campaign- Charge of the Fifth Corps on the Rebel Redoubt at Peebles's Farm." This print shows lots of detail and action. Click on the image to see a close-up. This leaf measures 16x11, and is in excellent condition. The illustration is by C. H. Chaps.

This is a great Battle scene from an original 1864 Harper's Weekly. The print shows a dramatic scene of a infantry division charging into battle.  Hundreds of soldiers are pictured, and the print is captioned, "Grant's Campaign- The Battle of Chapin's Farm". Fort Harrison

The Battle of Fort Harrison

This is a sharp Civil War Battle print showing two lines of infantry firing at each other.  The print is captioned, "Grant's Campaign- The Rebel Assault and Attempt to Recapture Fort Harrison".  The print shows a line of Union Soldiers fighting under a tattered US flag.  In the distance, the Rebel troops can be seen firing back.  Injured and dieing soldiers are pictured in the foreground.  Some soldiers are firing their rifles, while others are reloading.

Crossing the Rapidan

This print shows two views of the Army of the Potomac, and is from an original 1864 Harper's Weekly. The top image is captioned, "The Third Corps Crossing the Rapidan", and the lower image is captioned, "The Army of the Potomac- Brook's Brigade of Warren's Corps Crossing the Germania Mills Ford".  The image shows a large group of soldiers and artillery fording the river.  To the left another group of men is pictured building a bridge.
