This is an incredible map showing details of the Battle of Bennington in the Revolutionary War. The map was created in 1777. The map shows troop positions of battle fought in the town of Hoosick, N.Y. in defense of Bennington, Vt. The map is labeled, "Position of the detachment under Lieutenant Colonel Baum & attacks of the enemy on the 16th August at Walmscock near Benington, 1777. Lieutenant Durnford, engineer."
