Texas Bluebonnet Wildflowers- The Harbingers of Spring

This is a wonderful photograph of a patch of bluebonnet wildflowers. These wildflowers are the harbingers of springtime in the Texas Hill Country. It is interesting that the more miserable the winter (the colder and the wetter), the more beautiful the bluebonnets will be in the springtime. While these are among the most beautiful of God's wonderful floral creations, their bloom is at its peak for only a few weeks, usually between the last week of March, and the first few weeks of April.
