McClellan at Bull Run

You are viewing an original leaf from an 1862 Harper's Weekly newspaper.  The illustration shows dramatic images of General McClellan new Bull Run.  The upper image is captioned, "Major-General McClellan, Major-General McDowell, and Staffs, Escorted by the Fifth Cavalry Crossing Bull Run At Blackburn's Ford. McClellan and the others are pictured on horseback.  The lower left image shows the bridge that had been burned by the Rebels near Blackburn's ford.  The lower right image shows the evacuation and firing of Manassas Junction by the rebels.
