This is an original leaf from an 1862 Harper's Weekly Civil War Newspaper.  It shows dramatic illustrations of the Battle of Newbern.  The upper left image shows the Union Fleet Ascending the Neuce River. The upper right image shows the troops landing, and attacking.  The lower image shows the troops storming Fort Thomson at the Battle of Newbern.
